Background
William Gagnon is the vice president of marketing and key accounts for Excel Dryer, Inc., manufacturer of the patented high-speed, energy-efficient XLERATOR® hand dryer. William works closely with green building industry leaders including architect firms, specifiers, distributors and end-users to determine ways in which high-speed hand dryers fit into national sustainability initiatives such as the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Credit system and the new Executive Order (E.O.) 13514; Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance.
With over 15 years of industry experience, Gagnon frequently speaks before trade groups, contributes to key industry trade publications and is quoted regularly about green restroom design.
John Watson is the Water Efficiency Director for Sloan Valve Company where he leads the technical product support efforts and the monitoring of all codes and standards activities that affect the company. John is a 20-year veteran in the plumbing industry with a background in the design and manufacture of commercial and industrial plumbing products. A member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, the American Society of Sanitary Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Watson earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Design from Triton College, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Elmhurst College. As a member of these organizations, he is involved in several working groups that write a variety of product standards including those related to more water-efficient plumbing products. John is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events and has authored numerous articles on plumbing-related topics, including water efficiency and restroom design.
