Using a storefront system for an application where a curtain wall should be can lead to many problems. This presentation reviews the performance and structural considerations that might lead to choosing a curtain wall over a storefront system and vice versa, and discusses how design intent and certain design features will drive system selection. System fabrication and installation, and water management, are also discussed.
