Georgia-Pacific’s original paperless gypsum product, DensGlass Gold® exterior sheathing, is a recognized symbol of weather-resistant performance on commercial construction projects throughout the world. Today, Georgia-Pacific Gypsum offers a family of paperless products including DensArmor Plus®, DensArmor Plus®Abuse Guard®, DensGlass Ultra® Shaftliner, DensDeck® Roof Boards and DensShield® Tile Backer offering paperless solutions for the building envelope and interior walls. Georgia-Pacific Gypsum’s paperless technology is based on replacing paper facings found on traditional gypsum boards with fiberglass mats in combination with a treated moisture-resistant core for superior moisture and mold resistance over traditional paper faced gypsum boards. Georgia-Pacific paperless products also come with limited warranties for weather exposure during construction.

In addition to offering superior fire, strength, moisture and mold resistance, Georgia-Pacific paperless drywall is GREENGUARD® and GREENGUARD Children & SchoolsSM Certified for low chemical emissions by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute and is listed as microbial resistant. Plus, Georgia-Pacific paperless gypsum products score the highest mold and mildew resistance attainable when tested as manufactured per ASTM D 3273. Paper facings found on traditional gypsum board can be a potential food source for mold when exposed to moisture. By removing the paper, Georgia-Pacific Gypsum has reduced the potential for mold growth.

Paperless drywall and shaftliner may also help accelerate construction schedules, since they can be hung before the building is dried in. To learn more, visit www.gpgypsum.com.
