How we can get into corners to polish in an existing corridor? - in the example the before picture looks into a corner but the after looks from the other side.

Polishing Corners

Polishing corners and edges are both time consuming and costly as well as equally rewarding. Properly polished edges and corners offer a more finished and monolithic attractive floor adding to the overall attractiveness of the project. The available techniques can range from simple to complicated both following labor consumption and costs associated. Normal edging and corners are usually done with a hand grinder at each polish level to achieve the final desired finish. Hand tools provide the best polished concrete edging but will not exactly match the center of the floor done by larger heavy machines. Within the hand tool arena there is everything from stand up machines with small hand tools or grinders attached, to simple hand grinders that you need to get down on your hands and knees. Some people will use a step down or feather edge technique with the larger machines where they will blend in each pass moving outward with each grinding or polishing step to give the illusion of a polished to the corner look that was done faster and more economical by a larger machine. What has come very popular is to use a color in the corners or edges. This can be done with products like breathable epoxies, urethanes, and color edge tinting products. This is much more economical than hand tools and gives a definitive border of color around the project that can give an attractive picture frame look. The quality of the entire job rests a lot on edge work and it must be addresses to satisfy the occupant of the structure. The options given covers, costs, types of edging, along with color or decorative options. Mark Vogel Director of International Sales W.R. Meadows
