Description: Abatron, Inc., began in 1959 as epoxy and polyester polymer R&D specialists and custom formulators. This starting advantage in a complex field unfolded concurrent developments of urethanes, acrylics, vinyls, silicones, copolymers and other compounds meeting industrial, architectural, electronic, marine, federal and military specifications. As the core of Abatron activity has always been Research and Development, its products reflect the current standards and the advances about to become new standards in the industry. Abatron's creativity focus is Applied Research. Yet, much of it overlaps with Basic Research, since the investigation of parameters and their causes dictates development of findings to be stored in our databases, ready for still unrequested applications. This activity pattern enables Abatron to face virtually any challenge, no matter how unforeseen. Continuous dialog with architects, engineers, restoration experts and specifiers has resulted in many government and private sources to specify Abatron's products for restoration of historic buildings and structures. Abatron products for electronics, industrial, and "hi-tech" applications keep pace with the continuous changes typical of those fields. Many of those changes may be a surprising and prolific source of serendipity that benefits our other developments. Therefore, our initial custom-formulating and contractual research are also a direct consequence of our standard activities. Obviously, our survival and success has been greatly facilitated by the acceptance, cooperation and loyalty of our customers, advisers, specifiers and of our co-workers.
