Armstrong is a founding member and annual sponsor of USGBC. Anita is active in their local Green building chapter, and active on various LEED committees. Armstrong’s campus corporate building served as a pilot for the development of the LEED rating system.
Anita heads up the management of Armstrong’s Ceiling Recycling Program, working with various organizations throughout the US. Armstrong’s program is an industry-first ceiling recycling program that diverts old ceilings from landfills. To date, more than 30 million of ceilings have been recycled from buildings in all segments of the industry.
