Brian Kelly CSI, CDT, LEED Green Associate, is National Design & Specification Manager for Kemper System America, Inc. A 1993 Graduate of William Paterson University, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and has over 25 years of Construction experience as Contractor, Owner, and Materials Manufacturer. Mr. Kelly joined Kemper System in February of 2004 and has consulted with the A&E community in the design and construction of thousands of important Roofing & Waterproofing projects including the One World Trade Center and Madison Square Garden. An expert in liquid resin - reinforced waterproofing membranes, Mr. Kelly assisted the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) contributing to the “Liquid-applied Roof Membranes” section of the newly published “NRCA Manual 2015 - Membrane Roof Systems”. Mr. Kelly is a member of the KSA Planning, Quality Management, Private Label, and Technical Manual Update Committees. He is a Technical Trainer at Kemper System University where Independent Agents and KSA Account Managers are trained on the comprehensive roofing and waterproofing product line, project design, and specification. He authored technical articles: "Vegetative Roof Waterproofing for Long-term Performance" - Construction Specifier, 2-2014 and "Waterproofing Helps University Reflect Past & Future" - RCI Interface, 2-2015. Mr. Kelly is also responsible for creating and updating the KSA Continuing Education Program. Since 2004, Mr. Kelly has provided hundreds of hours CES presentations on topics such as Roofing, Waterproofing, Technical Inspections, & Sustainability issues like Green Roofing, Blue Roofing, & Reflective Roofing. Some previous programs include “Cold Fluid Applied Roofing & Waterproofing” at AIA National 2013, “Blue Roofs and Storm Water Management” at AIA National 2014, and “Sustainable Roofing Strategies, fighting the Effects of Urban Heat Island” at AIA National 2015.
