Light creates ambience and feel of place, as well as the expression of a structure (Le Corbusier) Offices are designed to house working people engaged in thought and communication. Since feelings of well-being, interest and enthusiasm are affected by the environment, consideration should be given to the design of office interiors in an effort to achieve a stimulating workplace. Office lighting affects the appearance of the space and its occupants, and therefore their mood & productivity. Although it is important to consider the luminous environment and the lighting of visual tasks separately, these aspects must work together. This presentation will review how to use lighting in the office environment to achieve these goals.
