Background: Benny Dickens is the founder and CEO of Formulators, a specialty chemical product development and manufacturing company located in Santa Ana, CA. Benny has over 25 years’ experience in research, formulation and product development. Benny is a voting member of the ASTM F06 committee. Started in 2000, Formulators has become nationally recognized for its innovative approach to concrete moisture vapor mitigation and is specified by several national retail chains. Recently, Formulators announced the development of Hydro-Seal MAXX, the first universal resilient flooring adhesive warranted to 90%RH. In 2012, Benny filed an international patent for the world’s first waterproof flooring adhesive, Aquaflex. Aquaflex is the first product of its kind to exhibit complete and unlimited alkaline moisture resistance.
