Noble Company produces NobleSeal® Sheet Membranes to protect hard surface flooring like thin-set ceramic or stone tile and hardwood floors. Products are time-tested with millions of square feet installed. Applications include waterproofing, crack isolation and sound reduction.
NobleSeal sheets are composite membranes made from Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) with fiber laminated to both sides. CPE is impervious, durable, and flexible. Fiber provides bondable surfaces so tile can be adhered directly to the membrane. Noble sheets are lightweight, flexible, and guaranteed to last for the life of the original tile installation.
NobleSeal sheets can be installed over common substrates, including concrete, many wood subfloors, primed gypsum underlayments, and radiant heating systems. Noble membranes offer many unique features. For example, NobleSeal SIS (Sound Isolation Sheet) is only 0.050 inches thick, but significantly reduces floor-to-floor impact sound. SIS also provides waterproofing and crack isolation.
Noble also produces a variety of products that save time, provide quality features and help make showers watertight. Examples include the following: PRO-SLOPE™, a preformed composite that creates the code-required slope under a shower pan; Niches/Benches and curbs that are preformed, waterproof, and ready-to-tile.
Noble was recently awarded a patent for its FreeStyle Linear Drain™ (U.S. Patent No. 8,474,068). FreeStyle is the only linear drain with a top-mounted clamping collar to assure watertight connection. High capacity drainage and a low profile make it ideal for barrier free and ADA showers in residential and commercial applications.
