- Explain the technology behind the manufacturing of polycarbonate sheeting systems.
Define the nature of the different types of polycarbonate sheeting material and identify its properties and characteristics.
Identify the advantages of different varieties of polycarbonate sheeting over other building materials on the market.
Recall the various architectural applications of polycarbonate sheeting in industrial, residential and sport facilities.

Name: Tim Fikkert
Title: Architectural Intern, AmeriLux International
Background: Tim Fikkert is an Architectural Intern with experience in exterior and window detailing, glazing options and sustainable design. His education includes a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois. During college he worked as an intern at a Guardian Fabrications plant giving him his first real-world experience in the glazing industry. After grad school he worked directly in architectural design for several years at a medium-sized A/E firm. During this time he was a primary source of information on sustainability and glazing options. He enjoys the research and development aspect of architectural design. His experience and ability to find information make him an excellent resource for architects and designers. Tim enjoys teaching others on the features and benefits of polycarbonate daylighting solutions.
