Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

  • Identify the characteristics of digital technology formats used for media displays to enhance and enliven public and commercial interior spaces to inform, educate, and entertain viewers.
  • Analyze the benefits of rear-projection tiled digital media walls for use within interior spaces of various building types and discuss how they can be configured in any size, shape, and orientation to form a digital canvas to suit the needs of the viewing audience.
  • Evaluate space planning and design, sustainability and energy efficiency, operations, and maintenance, and cost analysis planning criteria for rear-projection tiled digital displays for a variety of building types and applications.
  • Examine the importance of image quality, brightness, color calibration, acoustics, interactivity, and content for creating effective digital displays for end users who view the media wall.
