Designing with Perforated Metal
The architectural uses for perforated metal span a wide variety of interior and exterior applications for residential, industrial, and commercial projects. Reviewed in this course are the applications and the specification considerations of standard and custom perforated metal, along with a discussion on how it is used to sculpt light, control sound, and compose views.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Discuss the history, features, and uses of perforated metal products.
- Explain how perforated metal is used as a valuable tool for composing light and views, orchestrating sound, and managing HVAC flow.
- Discuss the manufacturing process and available finishes of perforated metal.
- State the factors that influence perforating costs and specification considerations.
