Background: Cathy Amoruso is a Commercial Spec Manager with Formica Corporation. She has over 16 years experience with the specification & sales of decorative surfacing products. Cathy holds a BS degree in Interior Design from the University of Texas. She has been actively involved in her local chapters of ASID, IIDA & NEWH. She has held leadership positions in all three groups. Cathy was an instrumental part of creating Formica’s internal training program for new hires. She has been an instructor for the Intro to Formica class for the last 8 years. She has presented numerous CEU’s to Architects & Designers across the Central United States on topics such as Quartz, High Pressure Laminate, GreenGuard and Color & Material Trends. Cathy has taken training courses on GreenGuard, LEED-NC, Sales & Management, plus numerous Formica product training sessions. She has participated in various hands-on fabrication training seminars involving Solid Surfacing & other surfacing products.
