- Define key terms and concepts related to sustainability.
- List some characteristics of a green building and explain how they contribute to the sustainability of a structure.
- Define sustainability and discuss the parameters used to measure the overall sustainability of a building.
- Discuss how current building practices affect the environment, and recognize the ways that modifying the design process can lead to a sustainable future.

Title: Architect Liaison, Mar-flex Waterproofing & Building Products
Background: Randy Cornett is Mar-Flex Waterproofing and Building Products' Architect Liaison. He has worked as an installer, estimator, job supervisor, and sales manager for a combined 20 years of construction experience. He is AutoCAD certified, and the creator of the Mar-Flex CAD Detail Library. He is the head of the technical support department and part of the spec-writing team, and was one of the progenitors of the Mar-Flex Green Initiative. Cornett specializes in Division 7 with over ten years of experience.
