Background: Bill Rafie has spent nearly 20 years honing his skills in the paint industry. During his tenure with North America’s largest paint manufacturer and retailer, Bill has served as Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, District Sales Manager and District Manager. His business administration education and the ensuing positions with Sherwin-Williams have prepared him for his current position as Director of Architectural Marketing, Commercial Segments. In his role as director, he is the company’s expert for all commercial customer business – including serving the interests of painting contractors, architects and specifiers. According to Bill, the best part of his job is helping owners, contractors, architects and designers develop paint-related solutions that have lasting impact and appeal. Bill is active in a variety of industry associations including the American Institute of Architects (AIA), International Concrete Restoration Institute (ICRI), United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) and The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). In his free time, Bill is active in the Medina County Sports Association and St. Francis Xavier Church of Medina, Ohio. He is married with two children.
