Concrete Restoration, Joint Treatment and Crack Repair
Provides an overview of the key factors in the proper specification and installation of concrete joints, as well as discussions on the methods and materials that are used to repair cracks and spalling.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Discuss the various types of concrete joints, as well as the guidelines of the America Concrete Institute that are used to map the spacing and depth of control joints.
- Explain the proper treatment of concrete joints, along with the methods and materials that are used to protect concrete and provide long-term functionality.
- State some of the common concrete repair methods for dynamic and static cracks.
- Define the epoxy injection process that provides full depth repair for structural cracks.
- Summarize the repair issues and considerations related to concrete patching and spalling.
