Name: Larry Lyons

Title: Sales & Marketing Manager, Construction Products, Amorim Industrial Solutions

Background: Larry Lyons has been involved in the construction industry in a sales and marketing capacity for over 30 years. His involvement in the flooring industry began with selling adhesives used for wood flooring, carpet and resilient products in 10 years with a national manufacturer. He joined Amorim Industrial Solutions in 2001 and became involved with the field of Sound Control Underlayments for hard surface flooring. Along with the everyday duties of selling and marketing of current products, he is also deeply involved in the development and testing of new products and concepts. In the last 4 years he has learned a great deal about how impact noise is transmitted through floor/ceiling assemblies and what is required to attenuate these unwanted sounds. The new 2005/2006 Tile Council of North America Installation Handbook contains a new informational section on Sound Rated Floor Systems, and Larry is one of the primary authors of this document.
