- Differentiate between old PID technology and new demand-based control strategies, and discuss their impact on energy conservation.
- Describe new integrated control technology—an operating system that optimizes the plant as a system—and state how this technology contributes to enormous energy and cost savings.
- Discuss the benefits of integrated control systems and specify ultra-efficient controls in future projects.
- List the various ways that integrated controls can contribute towards LEED® points earned for a building project.

Title: Global Director of the Integrated Systems Customer Solution Group, Armstrong Fluid Technology
Background: Prior to employment with Armstrong, his work experiences have included Design Engineering for Power Plant Control Systems, Marketing roles at electrical utilities for Energy Management Load reduction programs, Business Management roles within Energy and Automation, and several years of experience in the electrical equipment service industry.
With Armstrong, Peter’s responsibilities include product development and operational responsibility for the HVAC Systems and Fire Pump businesses. This includes automation systems, pre-fabricated chiller and boiler plant solutions, and Fire sprinkler pressurization systems.
Peter holds a degree in Engineering Physics and an MBA in Industrial Marketing.
