Title: National Sales Manager, Arxx Building Products
Background: Since 2000, Dave Watson has been National Sales Manager, instrumental in establishing greater professionalism and skills within the U.S. distributor network and a focus on commercial project development. He is charged with maximizing PolySteel sales and margins throughout the U.S. distributor network and overseeing the development of international and national account business.
Prior to joining American PolySteel, Dave was Sales Manager of PolySteel of Oklahoma, responsible for sales, marketing, estimating, construction management, and day to day operations. Under Dave’s leadership, PolySteel of Oklahoma grew from a start-up, troubled business, to become the number one distributor of PolySteel for three years running, setting the still-held national record for top sales during a calendar year. Before that, Dave was the owner of Home Again, Inc., a custom and spec home builder operating in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
Early in his career, after studying at Oklahoma State University, Dave worked for eleven years as Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, and District Manager of Sight and Sound Appliance Centers, a progressive independent appliance, electronics and furniture retailer in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. During this period, Sight and Sound grew from six locations to sixteen, dominating the market, in spite of increased competition from national retailers entering the marketing, and the devastating oil bust of the 1980’s that dramatically impacted the economies of those three states. Dave was a trouble shooter, turning around poor performing locations.
His practical construction expertise, sales skills, and successful management and business development experience make Dave a strong leader for American PolySteel, capable of achieving the aggressive 5-year growth goals of the company.
