Designers, architects, and general contractors are finding innovative ways to use various types of commercial printed graphics to creatively enrich the aesthetics of buildings, promote company branding, and provide signage and wayfinding. This course discusses the uses, applications, materials, installation, and printer options of graphics designed to enhance commercial interior and exterior spaces.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Discuss the value and benefits of graphics in today’s commercial spaces to provide more productive and enjoyable environments.
- State the various applications of commercial graphics, including window films, wall vinyl, floor graphics, and traditional wallcoverings.
- Describe the basics of window film designed to provide workspace privacy and meet safety and compliance requirements.
- List the various types of print options and graphics materials available, including architectural surface finishes that negate the cost and waste of traditional remodeling projects.
