Background:
Christian Taber serves as a member of the Big Ass Fans Research & Development team responsible for developing and testing the company’s high volume, low speed fans. As a liaison between customers and Big Ass Fans’ project consultants, Christian ensures that air movement requirements are met in every facility and application. Christian is an ASHRAE certified High-Performance Building Design Professional, a Certified Energy Manager and a committee member of ASHRAE Standards 90.1, 189.1, and 216P.
Dedicated to sustainable design, Christian has helped integrate air movement into high profile projects nationwide, including Big Ass Fan’s one-of-a-kind Research and Development lab and Oakland Unified School District’s Downtown Educational Complex. In 2011, Christian was named to Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 40 Under 40 list. His articles on air movement and energy efficiency have been published in multiple publications. Christian holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering and B.S. in chemical engineering from Iowa State University.
