Background: Harold Mathias has been with Construction Specialties Inc. for 13 years acting as a technical specialist for the expansion joint cover product line. He is also a long term, active member of the product development team and has been involved in numerous new expansion joint cover product developments. For the past three years Harold’s primary responsibilities have been focused on specification development. Large projects that require expansion joint covers are identified and Harold assists the architects and designers in sizing the joints correctly, selecting the proper joint covers and developing a specification that complies with current code requirements. Harold’s other responsibilities include providing and conducting educational presentations on expansion joint covers to AIA members in the architectural and engineering communities.
