Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Define the concept of Division 01 under the principles of specification writing as defined by CSI.
Define the scope of application in various construction disciplines.
Identify the content of Division 01 within CSI MasterFormat.
Specify the conditions of the work and administrative relations of all entities involved in the construction contract, and when the project conditions and relations differ from those covered in the standard conditions of the contract.
Coordinate sections within Division 01 with other elements of the project manual.
Use the proper method for specifying allowances, alternates and unit prices.
