Four Stories of Integrated Process and of Lessons Learned
This course is no longer active. AEC Daily will not report completion information for this course.
This course follows the growth of the IP through four stories of projects whose objectives were met or exceeded though the use of the IP. The projects range in age from 1993 to the present and in scope from a series of single-family homes and a freestanding rural structure to a multi-acre inner city mixed use redevelopment. The course will highlight the IP components employed while focusing on the more invisible benefits and the lessons learned from each of the IPs.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Illustrate how the IP can alter attitudes and expand the knowledge base and comfort zone of every participant.
- Indicate how the IP can facilitate beneficial innovation into every project.
- Recall how the IP converts relatively minor extra investment in design into significant project construction and operation savings.
- Relate how the IP converts work into fun and fun into project success, mutual ownership, and proper stewardship.
