- Define sustainable construction and why it is so important today.
- Explain concrete’s role in sustainable construction, including its high embodied energy and the importance of ensuring its long life.
- Examine the use of polymers in concrete, both PC and PMC, their advantages, characteristics, and application in high performance flooring.
- Examine various high performance flooring systems that utilize both PC and PMC, including where they are applicable and how they can contribute to LEED® points.
- Discuss the use of polymers in concrete in resurfacing and repair and the key role they play in sustainable construction.
