Water Use Reduction Calculations in LEED®

This LEED® Specific course is for anyone working on a LEED project and will address issues such as proper calculation methodology, accounting for urinals in buildings, proper weighted calculations for dual-flush toilets, public vs. private fixtures, fixture usage groups and the use of proper gender ratios, and how to successfully submit the LEED Prerequisite/Credit Forms in LEED Online. Learn what reviewers are looking for and how to submit it right the first time.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

  • Understand the common mistakes made by project teams submitting WEp1 during the LEED certification process.
  • Successfully calculate the water use reduction of a LEED project.
  • Assess which fixture usage groups to use on a LEED project.
  • Assess whether there are any weighted calculations that need to be completed in order to properly reflect the project conditions.
  • Determine what documentation to include to meet Prerequisite requirements.
