Provides an overview of the characteristics and architectural applications of perforated metal, expanded metal, and wire mesh products including descriptions of metal types and mechanical finishes.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- List and describe the types of materials that are used to create perforated metal, expanded metal, and wire mesh products.
- Describe the various metal finishes that are available that are used to improve the appearance of metal products and provide protection from the elements.
- Discuss the features, manufacturing process, the applications, and the specification considerations of perforated metal, expanded metal, and wire mesh.
- State the design considerations when specifying metal products with holes.
