AEC425 - Cost-Effective Energy Savings with Drain Water Heat Recovery...THIS COURSE IS NO LONGER OFFERED
THIS COURSE IS NO LONGER OFFERED.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Identify opportunities for reclaiming heat energy from Drain Water in buildings.
- Describe how Falling Film Heat Exchangers work and why this class of technology is the most common used for Drain Water Heat Recovery (DWHR).
- Describe the various DWHR connection scenarios for single residential.
- Describe the various DWHR connection scenarios for multi-unit residential buildings.
Apply more specific DWHR commercial applications including health care buildings, prisons, recreational facilities, food service operations, and laundry facilities, in both slab-on-grade and gravity flow configurations.
- Recall DWHR examples of total installed cost and typical energy savings (for water heating and total building) for commercial, residential, and multi-unit residential projects.
