Modern hydronic radiator systems are an energy efficient, healthy, and hygienic solution for residential and commercial applications. This course will discuss the principles of radiant heating, panel radiators, and how to size panel radiators for residential applications.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Describe how heat is transferred through conduction, convection, and radiation.
- Compare convective heating to radiant heating
- Describe different types of radiant heating systems
Identify the features and advantages of hydronic panel radiators.
- Describe the types of panel radiators and identify appropriate applications.
- Apply rules of thumb to estimate the heat load of a residential room and select type/size of panel radiators to supply the required heat.
