Title: Engineering Specification Manager, Sloan Valve Company
Background: Kirk Gruben, LEED-AP, has been with Sloan Valve Company for 13 years. He specializes in water and energy conservation analysis and recommends alternative design options to architects and engineers for their commercial plumbing specifications and promoting the use of water- and energy-efficient products. Kirk Gruben has been a Sloan instructor since Sloan started offering CEUs. As one of the premier instructional leaders at Sloan, he has leant his expertise in water conservation and corresponding plumbing technologies to enhance each course provided. The courses include Water Efficiency: Green Restroom Design; Restroom Design: The Water Efficient Factor; Maximizing Water Efficiency for Sustainable Restroom Design; and Next Generation Green Restroom Design. He has a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Development with a minor in Business from Texas A&M University.
