He is regularly consulted regarding naturally durable hardwood species selection, application and sourcing. Brian has developed written grading rules and standards for tropical hardwood decking, developed CSI specification language for tropical hardwood decking, developed written Systems and Procedures for Controlled Wood and Lacey Act Compliance and implemented FSC Chain of Custody certification program. He has been delivering educational presentations on naturally durable hardwoods and their applications to project designers since 1981.
