Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

  • Understand the historic window rehabilitation guidelines of the National Park Service.
    Explain how to assess existing conditions prior to starting the rehabilitation process.
    Summarize how to decide whether to preserve, repair, or replace existing fenestration.
    Describe available options and accessories for replication, encapsulation, and replacement.
    Evaluate how to balance appropriate product options while minimizing cost impact.
    List the various other factors to be considered in relation to historic window replacement.
