Name: Abhi Lath

Title: Founder and President, Sensitile Systems

Background: Abhi Lath was born and raised in India and came to the US for higher studies. After completing his bachelors in Electrical Engineering he decided to study Architecture. During his graduate thesis project at the University of Michigan - School of Architecture, Abhi invented a revolutionary, interactive surfacing material inspired by the poetic description of the dynamic interplay of light and movement in a bamboo forest. Strong interest in the material prompted Abhi to form a company to manufacture, market and further develop these ideas. Sensitile has since won recognition and prestigious awards and is installed in numerous landmark projects globally. Abhi and his wife Vanika live in Ann Arbor with their two children.
