William W. Ranson is the leader of the Building Knowledge Center, a team that uses DuPont’s industry leading building science to support and grow with our customers through field support, content development, and industry influence. He has 8 years’ experience specifically within the high-performance building industry, and over 18 years of experience managing and developing professionals in a variety of functions. Throughout his career, William has led technical support, quality, research and development, manufacturing technology, maintenance, marketing support, and application development teams within various DuPont businesses globally.
Prior to joining DuPont, he completed his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, with a focus on heat transfer. He is an active board member of the Energy and Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA), he participates on both the suppliers’ advisory board for RESNET and the calculations subcommittee of RESNET Standards Development Committee 300, and he is a Boy Scout leader. His hobbies include traveling, reading, and anything about wine.
Dan Tempas is a Senior Building Science Engineer with DuPont Professional Building Solutions. He has worked in the Styrofoam™ and Thermax™ insulation businesses in research, product developement, and service capacities for 37 years, and is one of the inventors and patent holder for the Thermax™ Wall System. Dan is a Registered Exterior Wall Consultant with IIBEC and a LEED Green Associate, and has also worked in the areas of 3D computer graphics, digital video, and computer based training.
Dan is a graduate of The University of Illinois with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Nuclear Engineering.
