This class introduces attendees to the basics of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) doors. Upon completion they should have a greater understanding of what these products are, how they can be used and the most appropriate scenarios for them
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
Provide a complete understanding of Fiberglass, its key components, history, and the Architectural Benefits of Fiberglass.
Understand the methods of FRP Manufacturing and the use in the construction of Doors and Frames.
Understand the various types of cores and surfaces that can be used in the manufacturing of FRP doors and the performance characteristics associated with each.
Educate each attendee on the fire-rating associated with FRP doors and how they are achieved.
Fully understand how FRP Doors can be refinished.
Understand the corrosive and abuse resistance that FRP doors and frames provide.
