This presentation will focus on the overview of various waterproofing, protection course and drainage methods that meet the standards of today’s foundation applications. Along with an overview of various code and design requirements that mandate foundation waterproofing systems and applications.

Waterproofing 101: Evaluation of waterproofing design/code requirements. Determine where and why waterproofing is required and learn about hydrostatic pressure.
Compare the differences between membrane technologies in vertical, below-grade foundation waterproofing applications.
Review various options for protection courses, insulation drainage layers, and back fill requirements in below-grade foundation applications.
Recognize application concerns for different waterproofing technologies that can occur in below-grade foundation applications. Emphasis on proper design for successful foundation waterproofing applications.
