This class introduces attendees to the basics of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) doors. Upon completion they should have a greater understanding of what these products are, how they can be used and the most appropriate scenarios for them

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

  • Provide a complete understanding of Fiberglass, its key components, history, and the Architectural Benefits of Fiberglass.
  • Understand the methods of FRP Manufacturing and the use in the construction of Doors and Frames.
  • Understand the various types of cores and surfaces that can be used in the manufacturing of FRP doors and the performance characteristics associated with each.
  • Educate each attendee on the fire-rating associated with FRP doors and how they are achieved.
  • Fully understand how FRP Doors can be refinished.
  • Understand the corrosive and abuse resistance that FRP doors and frames provide.
