Background: Amy Stalbosky is a registered architect with a decade of experience in the sustainable design and construction industry. In 2008 she participated in a national task force for the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) to analyze the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) 2009 rating system and LEED Accreditation requirements.. She is also recognized as one of the nation’s first accredited professionals under the LEED Specialty accreditation program. Amy holds a Legacy LEED Accreditation from 2005, plus a LEED Specialty Accreditation in Building Design and Construction and LEED Specialty in Homes. Since 2007, she has taught numerous courses in sustainable design across the U.S.., including one course certified by the USGBC Education Provider program.. She is a previous Chair of the Emerald Coast Florida branch of the US Green Building Council and is currently active in LEED certification management, consultation, and education. She has been a guest speaker at a variety of events in the sustainable building industry. Today she continues her research into sustainable building materials and products, with an emphasis on sustainable daylighting techniques.
