Understanding Spray Foam Insulation in Building Design
In my presentation participants will gain an understanding of what spray foam insulation is. The characteristics, components and what makes a quality SPF product. Then discuss building benefits using spray insulation; sustainability, where energy is lost in conventional insulation systems, energy analysis and case studies of buildings. Understand air leakage and what causes it. Next, we will review ICC and IRC building codes. We will discuss how to achieve R value in building design and discuss the difference between thermal barriers and ignition barriers. Finally, we will review what you are looking at on PDS and product evaluation reports.
