Achieving Optimal Drainage & Safety with the Newest Plumbing Innovations
Although drains may not be a primary thought when specifying plumbing, valuing the importance of proper drainage is essential to a building’s overall safety and longevity. With proper drainage in place, both internally and externally - human and vehicular traffic surfaces are intrinsically safer and more sanitary; the building and its grounds require fewer repairs and less maintenance and downtime; and possible moisture buildup and mold is avoided. This course presents plumbing innovations that ensure proper drainage so that building owners and patrons can focus their thoughts on other business matters.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
Restate the critical importance of having appropriate drainage and the health, safety, and environmental risks of not having it.
Discuss the extensive selection of drainage products and why there need to be so many options.
Differentiate drainage methods and recognize the pros and cons of each.
Explain how different drains work and how those functions are required in different scenarios.
Select optimal drainage products, grates, and other components to meet unique industry, building, and application needs.
