The Use of High Speed Doors for Improved Security & Traffic Control in Urban Parking Environments

The purpose of this course is to educate the architect/designer as to the benefits of using a high speed, high cycle door for parking applications. These benefits include but are not limited to; increased security and safety in the parking area, lower maintenance costs, energy savings and improved traffic flow.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

• Define the fundamental features and benefits including safety and energy specifics of high performance doors for commercial buildings and parking facilities
• Identify specific criteria for applying high performance doors in commercial buildings and parking facilities
• Define high performance doors relative to slow opening/closing conventional doors
• Define & identify the typical applications where high performance doors are used within commercial buildings and parking facilities
