• Appreciate the relevance of entrance product selection to the goal of designing structures for sustainability and high performance.
• Appreciate the functionality required of exterior doors, the nature of the operating environment, and the performance characteristics and environmental implications of common types of door construction.
• Understand potential impacts on interior air quality related to exterior door composition and common maintenance practices.
• Understand how to evaluate product offerings by considering the nature of the operating environment and product fitness for purpose to ensure high performance and long service life in support of the goals of sustainability.
