3D Concrete Printing in Masonry & Hardscape Design

Technology is advancing faster every day. 3D printing has evolved and scaled from small handheld items to structural elements and full structures in construction. In this course we will review the evolution of 3D printing in the design & construction community. From its start over 30 years ago to the creative element in design it is today - combining the structural capabilities of a resilient and proven construction material with a limitless creative manufacturing technology.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

• Understand the evolution of 3D Concrete Printing and what it offers designers today.
• Comprehend the structural capabilities of 3D concrete printed elements.
• Understand how 3D concrete printed elements interact with TMS 402/602 and current building codes creating safe and healthy buildings.
• Review case studies showing practical applications of 3D concrete printing that comply with building codes creating safe and healthy projects.
