Beyond Stud and Track: Improving Wall Performance with Tested Connections
This course focuses on the array of tested connections that address challenges encountered in cold-formed steel framing systems. Attendees will gain an understanding how these solutions benefit constructability, provide labor savings, and enhance system performance. They will learn about the importance of building deflection, as well as the various types of tracks and connectors used to accommodate it. The basics of acoustic systems will be covered – comparing and contrasting the advantages of both clip-based and conventional methods for reducing sound transmission in walls and ceilings.
