Course Types

We have three main course types:

Also note the difference between a "live course" and a "live session". While they are related, they are NOT the same thing.

On Demand

Access courses anytime, anywhere with self-paced learning designed to fit your schedule. On-demand education allows learners to start, pause, and resume content as needed while tracking progress and completion automatically. Ideal for flexible professional development and ongoing training.

We offer on-demand courses in several different formats, including downloadable PDF, and several types of more interactive formats using HTML5. We have some sample courses that will introduce you to our course formats:

Face-to-Face

Instructor-led, in-person training sessions that encourage collaboration and hands-on learning. Face-to-face education provides direct interaction with instructors and peers, making it well suited for workshops, certifications, and practical skill development.

Webinars

Live or recorded online presentations led by subject-matter experts. Webinars offer a convenient way to engage with timely topics, participate in Q&A sessions, and earn credit without the need for travel, while still benefiting from real-time instruction.

Live Courses vs. Live Sessions

Live Course

A live course is a structured learning experience delivered in real time, typically consisting of one or more scheduled live sessions. It may include supporting materials, prerequisites, assessments, and completion requirements. Learners enroll in the course and attend the associated live sessions to earn credit.

Live Session

A live session is an individual, scheduled event that occurs at a specific date and time. It represents a single occurrence—such as a class meeting, lecture, or workshop—and may be part of a live course or offered as a standalone event.
