- Compare diverse cultures and identify how color is perceived by these cultures so you can make appropriate design choices for your clients.
Identify the historical significance of color families and how this influences current design choices.
Recognize and compare cultural similarities and disparities among color families.
Specify better educated choices relating to color selection while taking into consideration the inhabitants of multicultural global environments.

Name: Jackie Jordan
Title: Director of Color Marketing, The Sherwin-Williams Company
Background: Jackie Jordan received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design from Kent State University and has devoted the last 24 plus years of her career with the Sherwin Williams Company.
She has held many positions throughout her career as an Interior Designer, Color Consultant, Homebuilder, Architectural and National Account Executive and Designer Marketing Manager. She currently holds the title of Director of Color Marketing for the Sherwin-Williams Paint Stores Group and is responsible for the development of color systems, tools and collateral for both the trade and consumer markets. Jackie develops and presents color forecasts and educational seminars to thousands of design professionals and industry members throughout the year.
Jackie is also a Chairholder in the prestigious Color Marketing Group, an international color forecasting organization, as well as an ASID and IIDA industry partner.
