Through 3-D modeling, advanced scheduling reporting and other real-time data compiling, BIM is helping multiple disciplines collaborate in an effort to minimize waste and maximize teamwork while reducing risk. Firms are already linking BIM efficiency to higher quality projects with fewer change orders and more accurate documents, according to an AIA report.

Georgia-Pacific’s Dens™ Brand solutions were also designed with efficiency and the need for fast-tracking in mind. Specifying Dens interior and exterior panels adds another dimension of time savings by giving more flexibility in scheduling building envelope and interior wall applications. Using GP fiberglass mat technology in exterior sheathing, interior walls and shafts allows re-sequencing in the construction process because of its weather resistant properties. It transcends linear sequencing and gives more timeline freedom in hanging panels before dry-in. Specifying Dens products at the onset can diminish risk and increase control on the job for sequencing that compresses the construction cycle.

Spray foam insulation is the most effective insulation on the market because it provides an air tight seal that stops air infiltration and blocks allergens, irritants and airborne noise. This seal makes the structure more energy efficient, comfortable and healthy. And because spray foam insulation does not sag or settle over time, that air tight seal lasts for the life of the structure.

BioBased Insulation is different than traditional spray foam insulations. Polyols are the building blocks of foam, and BioBased Insulation has pioneered a process that replaces a portion of the petroleum polyols in traditional spray foam insulation with soy polyols, increasing the sustainability of the products without sacrificing quality. In addition to being soy-based, BioBased Insulation products also are water blown, which means they don’t use ozone-depleting blowing agents during installation.

BioBased Insulation offers two products: BioBased 501, a .5 lb open cell product; and BioBased 1701, a 1.7 lb closed cell product. Both are air barriers, but the closed cell product also has vapor retarder properties.

As a company, BioBased Insulation is committed to developing the most environmentally friendly and highest quality insulation products on the market. To find the certified dealer in your area, visit a dealer.
