Acoustical Ceiling Restoration
A green technology that contributes to earning LEED credits.

Provides an overview of the numerous benefits of commercial acoustical ceiling restoration. The restoration process is compared to alternative ceiling options including chemical cleaning, conventional painting, and total ceiling replacement.

Acoustical Ceiling Restoration, utilizing cleaning and coating technologies, refinishes aged, discolored, and stained acoustical ceilings with the application of a specially formulated non-bridging acoustical coating. Ceiling tiles, t-bars, speaker plates, vents, and air diffusers can be restored to a new-like appearance and better than new function at half the cost of replacement and in one third of the time when compared to replacement.

ProCoat manufacturers and distributes products/supplies used in this process in addition to providing a nation-wide installation service. The coating also can be made to match most colors that can be applied to new or existing acoustical ceilings. New tiles can be installed in a standard white color and then be coated in place to provide designer colors at less expense than the up charge for special colors required by the tile manufacturer. Utilization of ceiling restoration in a renovation project can contribute to earning LEED credits for existing structures.
