Worcester Polytechnic Institute Hosts 2006 American Society for Engineering Education New England Section Conference

WORCESTER, Mass., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Engineering educators from across the nation will gather on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) on March 17 and 18 for the 2006 American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) New England Section Conference. This year's conference will focus on the theme of "Engineering Education and Practice for the Global Community," and it will be highlighted by a keynote talk from Ranch C. Kimball, secretary of Economic Affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and a banquet presentation from Ioannis (Yannis) N. Miaoulis, president and director of the Museum of Science, Boston. The conference will also include three panel discussions with numerous experts in the field, the presentation of original research and development papers, and sessions on current issues and topics in engineering education. Exhibits featuring the latest engineering technologies will be on display throughout the first day of the conference.
